Job Title: Head Housekeeper

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team at Alexandra Nursing Home. As the Infection Prevention Control (IPC) Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control within our nursing home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the IPC team, including domestic and laundry team members.
  • Hold regular meetings with the IPC team and support the development of IPC champions across the home.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on IPC best practices.
  • Organise rotas and team holidays, complete audits, and create comprehensive cleaning schedules.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in infection prevention and control, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling, auditing, and reporting.
