Head of Commercial Finance/FP&A

Based in Warrington, our client is a rapidly expanding business seeking a seasoned Head of Commercial Finance/FP&A to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role offers an excellent opportunity to progress and develop the commercial finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all FP&A activities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting, budgeting, and planning.
  • Partner with the Factory Manager and other functions to drive business growth.
  • Develop and implement KPI metrics, driving change and process improvement.
  • Oversee a team of 2 staff, ensuring their development and training.
  • Manage financial modeling, data management, and analysis of large volume transactions.
  • Analyze labor variances and work with the Factory team to mitigate and increase margins.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to advise on price setting and changes, improving costing and reporting on costs.
  • Support the FD and CFO with analysis to inform commercial and operational decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate BOM management with clear reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvements to the budget and forecast process through automation and efficiencies.
Requirements:
  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified with strong commercial finance/FP&A experience.
  • Proven financial modeling experience, managing large data sets.
  • Team leadership experience is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships internally.
  • Forward-thinking and keen to progress.
