Science Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher to join our team at a Secondary School in Redbridge. This full-time role offers a contract position, ideal for someone who is dedicated to inspiring young minds through the teaching of science.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative science lessons, tailored to the needs of students. You will work alongside a team of supportive staff members, ensuring that all students are given the opportunity to excel both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging science lessons in line with the school curriculum.
  • Student Support: Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Classroom Management: Ensure a safe and structured classroom environment conducive to learning.

Requirements

  • Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience teaching science at the secondary level is preferred. Strong understanding of the secondary science curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students, staff, and parents.
  • Teaching Qualification: A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
