Pupil Support and Progress Lead
Arbour Academy seeks a dedicated and experienced Pupil Support and Progress Lead to join their team on a 1-year fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will lead the school's efforts to address the needs of pupils who require particular help to overcome barriers to learning.
Salary: £30,559 plus SNAs, pro rata'd
Job Description: As a Pupil Support and Progress Lead, you will take a lead role in providing support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN), establishing constructive relationships with parents/carers, using behavior management strategies effectively, and contributing to pupil reports and participating in reviews of pupil progress.
Key Responsibilities: Identify pupils requiring targeted interventions based on pupil progress data and ongoing assessment of progress, work with class teachers to mark work and give verbal feedback to pupils on progress made and next steps in all lessons, contribute to the development of pupils' literacy skills in all lessons, and take a lead role in securing placements for year 11 students and tracking year 11 destinations until the end of the following academic year.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience in working with pupils with SEN, managing teaching assistants, and providing feedback to class teachers on pupil progress.
