About the Role:
- Take full ownership of the OpenStack environment, managing instance creation, end-user support, and ensuring the setup is reliable and consistent.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide support for model-based engineering teams and ensure the environment's health, performance, and scalability.
- Develop and implement automation tools like Ansible and Terraform to streamline OpenStack setup and maintenance.
- Work closely with the team to identify and resolve complex issues, leveraging strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Required Skills and Experience:
- SC Clearance is required to be active or obtained before joining.
- In-depth knowledge of core OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, Cinder) and extensive experience with the Ceph storage platform.
- Proficient in deploying and configuring OpenStack environments using automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Advanced expertise with Linux OS, particularly RHEL, with strong command line and scripting skills (bash, Python) for automation tasks.
- Skilled in provisioning, configuring, and managing virtual machines and containers within OpenStack.
- Solid understanding of monitoring and logging tools to ensure service continuity and expertise in security best practices for maintaining OpenStack platforms.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent customer service, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.

- Base salary: Up to £80,000 (DoE)
- Annual Bonus: Up to 21%
