Financial Controller Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading national business to recruit a seasoned Financial Controller who can drive financial excellence and support the management team in achieving their strategic objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional to join a successful organization and contribute to its continued growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial management strategies to drive business growth and profitability
  • Lead the financial planning and analysis function, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to the management team
  • Manage the financial reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial information to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies, driving revenue growth and market expansion
  • Oversee the company's contracts division, focusing on cost management, reporting, and development of services
  • Monitor the performance of internal sales departments, reporting, margin reporting, and internal processes
  • Manage external supplier reports, ensuring best cost price and negotiating where necessary
  • Work closely with the credit control team to manage cash flow and assist with queries
  • Responsible for the reporting of VAT and HMRC obligations
  • Produce effective contract analysis, including recurring revenue and pricing analysis, and develop visibility across the company
  • Responsible for IT across the business, being the main point of contact for queries

The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, commercial acumen, and experience in developing and implementing financial strategies. They will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a solid background in financial and commercial development and subsequent reporting of a business.
