Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team in the Emergency Department at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. As a Phlebotomist in this role, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective blood collection services to patients, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely blood sample collection
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of blood collection procedures and protocols
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in care or phlebotomy, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. We offer excellent support and opportunities for growth and advancement within NHS Lothian.

Working Hours

Hours: variable per week, working a rotational shift pattern over 7 days, including days and nights.
