Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Director to join our team at Consortium Professional Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance function and ensuring the smooth operation of our process manufacturing site in Hull.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 3 engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • PPM System Improvement: Drive the development and enhancement of our Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system, ensuring it's fit for purpose and efficient.
  • Work Planning: Help plan and coordinate daily and weekly tasks for the maintenance team, ensuring smooth execution of scheduled work and addressing any breakdowns.
  • Contractor Management: Manage relationships with external contractors, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
  • Spare Parts System: Implement and maintain an organised spare parts system, ensuring critical components are available to reduce downtime.
  • Project Involvement: Participate in and lead projects aimed at improving efficiency, updating legacy systems, and integrating new equipment into the production process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Engineer in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing small teams.
  • Must be multi-skilled
  • Hands-on approach, with a passion for improving systems and processes.
  • Experience with PPM systems, spare parts management, and contractor coordination.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Must have contractor control and compliance experience

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary of £48,000 - £55,000, depending on experience.
