We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maternity Support Worker to join our team at King's College Hospital. As a key member of our Community Midwifery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our maternity unit's logistics and housekeeping functions.
Main Responsibilities- Liaise with our procurement team to ensure timely delivery of clinical stock to our main hub.
- Collaborate with our community midwifery porter team to coordinate the delivery of stock to our three hubs and children's centers.
- Manage inventory levels and order stock as needed to maintain optimal levels throughout our community areas.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and communicate with midwives to ensure their equipment is regularly serviced and maintained.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with infection control protocols at our main hubs.
- Provide logistical support to our team leaders, midwives, and support staff as needed.
- Ensure our main hubs are well-maintained by coordinating with our maintenance team and following up on outstanding tasks.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working in a maternity unit or with community midwives.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting.
As a Maternity Support Worker at King's College Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
