Experienced HGV and Mechanic Needed

Vac Ex Repairs and Maintenance is seeking an experienced HGV fitter/plant fitter to join our team. As a suction excavation truck specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles based on Mercedes, MAN, Volvo, Iveco, and Scania chassis. In-house training will be provided on the suction unit side, with potential further training in Germany after six months.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of driving experience, 1 year of mechanic experience, a valid driving licence, and an HGV licence. The salary for this position is estimated at £35,000 per annum or approximately £700 per week, depending on experience. Additional benefits include free parking and on-site parking facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair suction excavation trucks
  • Work additional hours to minimize truck downtime
  • Use HGV Tech software to manage vehicle maintenance and repairs
