Software Engineer Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team at TBA Group in Leicester. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing our software solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Design and develop high-quality software solutions for our WMS systems and hardware projects
* Collaborate with our agile development teams to deliver features and maintain existing installations
* Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues, including root cause analysis
* Participate in the Out of Hours support team on a rota basis and provide on-site installation, testing, training, and commissioning support
* Generate and maintain documentation, including functional specifications, manuals, and project technical files

**Requirements**

* Previous software development experience in industry
* Proficiency in C/C# programming languages, Pro C, Jaspersoft Reporting, Python, and Microsoft.Net Framework
* Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, or Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)
* Familiarity with Oracle Database Systems and Microsoft Windows Server and Linux Operating Systems
* Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and Agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
