Job Purpose

To develop and implement manufacturing plans and processes that meet quality, budget, and delivery schedule requirements.

Produce technical documentation, work instructions, and Bills of Material to support the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create accurate and timely Bills of Material to define materials and parts required for manufacture.
  2. Design and implement manufacturing routing, process sketches, and stage drawings to support the manufacturing process.
  3. Ensure accurate and timely availability of Work Instructions to support the Master Production Schedule.
  4. Identify and implement improvements to the manufacture or build process and build logic.
  5. Amend work instructions to rectify errors and maintain manufacturing schedule.
  6. Represent Manufacturing Engineering in a Shop Support role.
  7. Compile SAP Production Orders to manufacture or rework components.
  8. Maintain Manufacturing Engineering routings and process documentation.
  9. Request tooling, fixtures, and gauges required for manufacture and assemblies.
  10. Provide estimates of production times for accurate capacity planning and cost estimating.
Requirements
  1. Educated to at least HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, with 3 years post-training experience desirable and 12 months ME experience.
  2. Working knowledge of CATIA (V5) & ENOVIA or similar 3D system.
  3. Working knowledge of SAP and relevant Manufacturing Engineering modules.
  4. Familiar with Microsoft package software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  5. Familiar with the Engineering change process and documentation.
  6. Engineering background from an Aerospace or high integrity mechanical manufacturing environment.
  7. Familiar with Lean Manufacturing techniques.
