Job Description:

This Oxford Primary School seeks an experienced SEND Teacher to teach alternate provision on a supply basis starting January 2025. The role offers the potential to continue until the end of the academic year for a dedicated Teacher who can positively impact the team and students.

The school provides high-quality education and supports the emotional wellbeing of every child. Under former Ofsted ratings, this Primary School was rated 'Good'. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strong knowledge of the primary school curriculum and adapting to individual needs.
  • Maintaining a tidy, organized classroom with accessible resources.
  • Working effectively with staff, both within the classroom and external professionals.
  • Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on student progress, adapting to each student.
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Implementing the school's policies effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates should hold QTS or an equivalent qualification and have recent school-based experience teaching in a Primary School and working with SEND children. A good understanding of classroom and behavior management is essential. Experience working with SEND is a must.
