Oxfordshire, United Kingdom The Air Ambulance Service Full time

Position:
TCAA Operations Crew Member

Compensation:
£27,103

Work Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week.

About The Air Ambulance Service

The Air Ambulance Service embodies the principles of Courage, Creativity, and Compassion, which are integral to our mission. Since our inaugural operational flight in 2003, our dedicated teams have successfully responded to nearly 45,000 critical missions.

Our charity is entrusted with a diverse array of missions each day, all supported through voluntary donations, trading, and fundraising efforts.

We are committed to collaborating with the NHS, ensuring that our services do not utilize their available resources.

The impact of our work is profound; we save lives, keep families united, and empower children to grow into adulthood, while enabling the NHS to extend its capabilities.

We also contribute to our communities by creating employment opportunities, enhancing environmental initiatives, fostering volunteerism, and providing valuable training and experience.

As a leader in critical care delivery and inter-hospital transfers, we are continuously striving to improve.

To enhance our support for the NHS and our communities, we are executing a comprehensive five-year strategy aimed at advancing our response and critical care services.

Our achievements are made possible by the generous support of the public, alongside the dedication and expertise of our staff and volunteers across all operational areas.

This support allows us to invest in our operational capabilities, develop our personnel, and secure our financial future to sustain essential services.

Role Overview

As a TCAA Operations Crew Member, you will play a vital role in supporting specialized neonatal and pediatric clinicians during TCAA transfers, collaborating closely with our skilled Pilots and Airdesk Coordinators.

Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, you will be engaged in a full-time capacity (40 hours per week).

While this position is non-clinical and does not involve direct patient care, a clinical background is essential to appreciate the significance of teamwork in a clinical environment, manage medical equipment, and facilitate the safe transfer of patients.

Our current team comprises Crew Members with diverse backgrounds, including Emergency Care Assistants, Ambulance Technicians, Associate Practitioners, and Paramedics.

You will serve as the technical authority for the specialized TCAA interior and stretcher system, providing support and resolving any issues that may arise.

Additionally, you will undertake responsibilities to ensure that the aircraft and operational base are fully functional and prepared for tasking.

Note:
This position requires an Enhanced DBS check.
