Clinical Lead Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Quality Assurance Lead to join our nursing home in London. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of nursing care, clinical practice, and quality assurance within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Clinical Leadership: Provide expert clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing and care staff. Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring that resident care is delivered to the highest standard. Develop, implement, and review nursing care plans and clinical protocols tailored to the needs of our residents.
  2. Quality Assurance: Lead the implementation of clinical quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards. Conduct regular audits of clinical practices, care plans, medication management, and documentation. Monitor and evaluate resident outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CQC regulations and other relevant healthcare legislation. Ensure that the nursing home is fully compliant with all regulatory requirements and industry standards. Prepare for and participate in inspections, ensuring that the nursing home consistently meets or exceeds CQC expectations.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the Nursing Home Manager, senior management team, and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. Build and maintain positive relationships with residents' families, acting as a liaison to communicate care updates and address concerns.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Educational Background: Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid NMC PIN. Advanced qualifications in nursing or healthcare management are desirable.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or clinical management role within a care home or similar environment. Demonstrated experience in clinical quality assurance and a solid understanding of CQC standards.
  3. Skills and Competencies: Strong clinical skills with a focus on elderly care and dementia care. In-depth knowledge of nursing home regulations, including CQC standards and other relevant legislation. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and support a multidisciplinary team.
