Venture Recruitment Partners is partnering with a well-established global business in Basingstoke to recruit a Credit Control Associate. This role involves working with a large, established team to manage client relationships, process credit applications, and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments.
Key Responsibilities:- Chase outstanding debt and maintain proactive communication with customers
- Perform billing activities to strict deadlines and allocate payments upon receipt
- Responsible for end-to-end process from order to receipt of payment, including credit applications, payment history reports, sales reports, and account reconciliations
- Achieve and maintain collection performance against targets through proactive chasing, positive communication, and timely delivery of invoices for payment
- Collaborate with the trade team to resolve customer disputes and assist with month-end closure
- Regularly review ledgers with the team leader to monitor outstanding debt and resolve queries
- Take ownership of customer queries and resolve them in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers in a professional environment
- Maintain and drive down KPIs and adhere to audit and compliance requirements
- Experience working with a large international business is ideal but not essential
- Knowledge and understanding of simple financial concepts, including invoices, credit, and payments
- Good knowledge of Excel and Word skills
- Understanding of KPIs and ability to exceed targets and drive forward as an individual and as a team
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build partnerships with key stakeholders
- Technical capability to learn relevant systems and programs, including commercial systems
- Good time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met
- Competitive salary of £26k + bonus
