**Financial Accountant Opportunity**

Accountable Recruitment is partnering with a dynamic UK-based organisation to fill a 12-month fixed term contract for a Financial Accountant.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Assist the Group Financial Controller with month-end close process and production of monthly management account balance sheet reconciliations.

Ensure maintenance of a robust financial control environment.

Prepare regulatory and other financial compliance returns, managing inquiries.

Handle routine tax compliance returns for VAT, including weekly review of tax codes.

Support preparation of year-end group accounts and audit process.

Aid in production of year-end group reporting.

Assist Group Financial Controller with stakeholder requests as needed.

**Ideal Candidate:**

ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant.

Proven experience in year-end focused Financial Accountant role.

Advanced Excel skills, capable of handling bulk data/system exports and utilising formulas.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels within the business.

Self-motivated with strong work ethic.

Highly organised, able to manage wide variety of tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Experience working with external advisers a plus.
