Semi Senior Accountant Job Vacancy

This leading accountancy firm in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join their successful team. They are looking for a go-getter who can get stuck in and become part of a happy and productive team providing a full suite of general accounting services for a varied portfolio of clients.

This role offers a range of benefits, including hybrid working (2 days from home per week) and a 2pm Friday finish.

The ideal candidate will have some experience working within an accountancy practice and may have begun studying towards their ACCA or ACA qualification or be ready to start. They will have knowledge of using most PC and cloud-based accounting systems. They will also have good analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as being able to work as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of statutory and management accounts.
  • Personal and corporate tax computations.
  • Supporting the team in the provision of audit services.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Raising invoices.
  • Reconciling debits and credits.
  • Bookkeeping.
  • Scheduling supplier payments for client approval.
  • Knowledge of most accounting packages.
  • Work closely with the accounts team with any ad hoc projects, as necessary.
  • Work as part of a team that fosters a supportive working environment.
