National Grid, the UK's leading energy company, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its Apprenticeship programme. As an Electrical Network Apprentice, you will play a vital role in maintaining and upgrading the country's power grid.

About the Role:

You will work alongside experienced linespersons, learning the skills and knowledge required to become a fully qualified Overhead Lines Power Network Craftsperson. This includes conducting risk assessments, operating vehicles, and receiving training at our state-of-the-art facility in Eakring, Nottinghamshire.

Your Responsibilities:

Work safely and efficiently on site, adhering to safe practices and procedures.Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards.Operate vehicles equipped with tools and materials, traveling to remote job sites.Shadow experienced linespersons to gain new skills and knowledge.Receive comprehensive training at our Training Facility, enhancing your skills and knowledge.Work outdoors in various locations, adapting to different weather conditions.Participate in Health and Safety training, leading to role-specific authorizations.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, including passes in Maths and English Language (grades 4/C or above) OR a Level 2 Pass in Functional Skills.Obtain a driving license permitting you to drive in the UK by the end of your first year.
