Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Ward Manager to lead our team of mental health professionals at our high dependency hospital in Portsmouth.

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and recovery of younger males with complex mental health needs.

With a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, you will lead by example, promoting a positive and supportive work environment that fosters high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective care plans to meet the individual needs of patients
  2. Lead and manage a team of mental health professionals, promoting a culture of open communication and teamwork
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and optimal patient outcomes
  4. Contribute to the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards
Requirements
  1. A relevant nursing qualification - Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
  2. A valid NMC registration with no restrictions
  3. Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  4. A minimum of two years of mental health / acute / PICU / forensic / low - high secure / NHS or private experience
  5. Strong leadership and management skills
  6. A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
  7. A positive attitude and a naturally caring and compassionate demeanor
