We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Podiatrist to join our dynamic team at the University of Brighton.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of our BSc (Hons) Podiatry, pre-registration MSc Podiatry, and Post Graduate programmes. Our team is committed to providing high-quality education and training to our students, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach across our podiatry programmes, including clinical and academic skills.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of our curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and up-to-date.
• Supervise students on clinical placements and provide pastoral support.
• Participate in research and knowledge exchange activities, contributing to the advancement of podiatry education and practice.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Podiatry plus a postgraduate qualification.
• Current and active registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Podiatrist.
• Higher Education teaching qualification and/or a HEA Fellowship.
• Recent professional experience as a senior practitioner, with up-to-date knowledge of current developments in health.
• Experience of implementing creative approaches to teaching and learning in universities and/or in clinical practice.

Desirable:

• Post-graduate qualifications and an active research portfolio.
• Experience of supervising students at postgraduate level.
• Podiatry clinical experience in MSK.
