Job Overview

Vector Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer to join their team in London. As a key member of the maintenance services provider, you will be responsible for addressing drainage issues for a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Emergency Response: Swiftly respond to emergency call-outs, addressing drainage issues with efficiency and expertise.
  • Advanced Techniques: Utilise High Pressure Water Jetting, Core Cleaning, De-Scaling, CCTV Surveys, and Vacuum equipment to resolve drainage problems.
  • Excavations and Repairs: Perform necessary excavations and repairs to ensure optimal functionality of drainage systems.
Requirements
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in the drainage industry is essential for this role.
  • Technical Competence: Strong technical knowledge and competency in all aspects of drainage are required.
  • Driving License: A full UK driving license with no more than 6 points is necessary for this position.
  • Punctuality: Excellent timekeeping and reliability are essential for this role.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to approach and resolve issues logically is crucial.
  • CCTV Surveys and Plumbing: Experience with CCTV surveys, patching, and lining; basic plumbing skills are advantageous.
Desirable Qualifications
  • CSCS Certification: Construction Skills Certification Scheme is desirable.
  • First Aid Certification: Valid first aid training is highly recommended.
  • CS1 Confined Space Card: Certification for confined space work is advantageous.
  • High-Pressure Water Jetting Card: Certification for high-pressure water jetting is desirable.
Working Hours
  • Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
  • Night Shifts: 4 nights a month.
  • Weekends: 1 weekend a month.
  • On-Call Duty: 1 call-out week every 10 weeks.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: £34,000 to £38,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Overtime Rates: 1/3 additional pay from Monday to Thursday.
  • Double-Time Pay: Available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
  • Company Vehicle: A fully equipped company vehicle is provided.
