Overview


The Scottish Council of Independent Schools (SCIS) is an educational charity representing and promoting the interests of over 70 independent schools across Scotland. Our role is to provide parents with impartial information, advice, and guidance, as well as keeping independent schools abreast of educational developments, training opportunities, and legislative change.



About the Role


We are seeking a highly qualified Geography Teacher to join our network of supply teachers. As a supply teacher, you will be working on a flexible basis, covering day-to-day, long-term, and unfilled permanent teaching jobs in member schools across North East Scotland.



Main Responsibilities



  • Teach Geography to students at various levels
  • Prepare and deliver lesson plans
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need to be registered or eligible for registration with the GTC Scotland. You should also have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Geography and experience of teaching in a school setting.



About the Salary


The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Remuneration packages and benefits vary by school, as do working hours.
