Head of Governance

Antony James Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Head of Governance to join our client in the growing housing association industry in London. This permanent position offers a salary of £74,000 and the opportunity to work with a supportive but hardworking team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the professional lead on all aspects of corporate governance, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Embed corporate governance requirements and good practice in ways of working at Board, in committees, and in the wider organisation.
  • Act as the Company Secretary, Data Protection Officer, and Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
  • Ensure the efficient administration of Board and Committee meetings, including agenda planning, minute taking, and record keeping.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellence.
Requirements:
  • An appropriate company secretarial qualification or equivalent.
  • A record of demonstrable achievement in a senior level in a regulated environment in the delivery of governance, risk, and corporate services.
  • Experience of managing significant technical and organisational change.
  • Experience of working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellence.
  • Experience of collaborating and working as part of an effective leadership team.
  • Experience of research, analysis, and report writing to present papers to Boards, senior leadership meetings, committees, and external bodies.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
