We are seeking a skilled Marine/Industrial Painter to join our team at Matchtech. As a Marine/Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, applying marine-grade paints and coatings to vessels and marine structures, and maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming
- Applying marine-grade paints and coatings to vessels and marine structures
- Maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Ensuring all safety protocols are followed during painting procedures
- Collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently
- Inspecting and maintaining painting equipment and tools
- Experience in marine/industrial painting, other heavy industries will be considered also
- Proficiency in using various painting tools and materials
- Strong understanding of marine paint and coating applications
- SC Security Clearance with confirmation from UKSV
- Relevant trade qualification
- Ability to work flexible hours, including 12-hour shifts and alternative working patterns
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Contract Length: Approx. 6-9 months
Rate: £26.17/h umb co or £19.91/h PAYE plus £2.40/h holiday pay
