Job Title: Marine/Industrial Painter

We are seeking a skilled Marine/Industrial Painter to join our team at Matchtech. As a Marine/Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, applying marine-grade paints and coatings to vessels and marine structures, and maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming
  • Applying marine-grade paints and coatings to vessels and marine structures
  • Maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail
  • Ensuring all safety protocols are followed during painting procedures
  • Collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently
  • Inspecting and maintaining painting equipment and tools
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in marine/industrial painting, other heavy industries will be considered also
  • Proficiency in using various painting tools and materials
  • Strong understanding of marine paint and coating applications
  • SC Security Clearance with confirmation from UKSV
  • Relevant trade qualification
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including 12-hour shifts and alternative working patterns
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Contract Length: Approx. 6-9 months
Rate: £26.17/h umb co or £19.91/h PAYE plus £2.40/h holiday pay
