Apprentice Road Builder

**About the Role:** As an Apprentice Road Surfacing Operative, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience in road surfacing, with potential progression onto further training and a permanent role.

You will work as part of a Surfacing squad, undertaking road maintenance, road and footway surfacing, and other ancillary activities such as planing. This role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, a genuine desire to work in the road surfacing field, and the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Estimated Salary: £24,500 per annum (based on location and industry standards)

This role involves working as part of a Surfacing squad, undertaking road maintenance, road and footway surfacing, and other ancillary activities such as planing. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing banksman duties for items of plant and delivery vehicles\
• Manual placement of asphalt materials\
• Operating items of plant and hand-held items\
• Daily pre-use checks on plant\
