We are looking for experienced and passionate individuals to fill the roles of Group Manager for Family Support and Child Protection and Group Manager for Children with Disabilities. These positions offer a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families within our community.

Group Manager for Family Support and Child Protection
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight to five teams responsible for complex statutory cases involving child protection.
  • Champion key thematic areas within the Children's Social Care Improvement Plan, focusing on neglect, harm outside the home, and domestic abuse.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
Group Manager for Children with Disabilities
  • Lead and manage the Children with Disabilities Service, overseeing Team Managers and various specialized teams including Disabled Children's Outreach, Short Breaks Coordination, and Family Link Services.
  • Chair funding panels across Health and Social Care to ensure equitable resource allocation for children with disabilities.
  • Provide operational support to the SEND Improvement Board and contribute to key initiatives outlined in the Improvement Plan.

Both roles require a minimum of five years of experience as an operational team manager within a relevant field. The successful candidates will possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and families.
