Job Description

The Engineering Operations Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the maintenance and engineering functions of our manufacturing facility in Ayrshire. This position plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient operation of our plant, delivering high-performance process efficiency while maintaining Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the maintenance team to optimize performance of people and equipment, leveraging strong leadership and team management skills.
- Develop and implement comprehensive asset management strategies, including planning, CMMS, preventive, and condition-based maintenance, to minimize downtime and maximize production output.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and develop PEMAC/CMMS systems that drive maximum line/process efficiency, focusing on energy, plant services, and utilities.
- Implement best practices in process engineering and maintenance systems, embracing new technology and design standards to enhance operational excellence.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving Maintenance Lean Systems using tools and techniques to meet targets.
- Work closely with external contractors and installation companies to complete in-house maintenance and project work to the required standards.

Requirements
- Qualification in Engineering (mechanical & electrical background) or related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Minimum 10 years' maintenance/engineering management experience; knowledge of maintenance strategies (RCM, TPM, Asset Management) is highly desirable.
