Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Neuropsychologist to join our team and help us deliver high-quality, innovative, and evidence-based neuropsychological rehabilitation practice. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing strategic, professional leadership and ensuring the planning and development of a systematic response to service need.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure the development of high-quality, innovative, and evidence-based neuropsychological rehabilitation practice within Brainkind.
  • Support the Service Manager/Registered Manager/Regional Manager in all aspects of managing the service.
  • Function as a member of the Clinical Executive of consultant clinicians within Brainkind.
  • Externally represent and promote Brainkind's approach to psychology.
  • Work with the service and regional managers to strategically promote appropriate referrals to the service, with development of clinical governance in line with Brainkind policies and directives.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Good honours degree in Psychology (2:ii or above).
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or its equivalent accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and to meet registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Registered Clinical Psychologist with HCPC.
  • Member of the BPS.
  • Postgraduate training in Neuropsychology through an accredited route for the QiCN (PG Dip).
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing highly complex and sensitive information in a manner appropriate to a range of settings and audiences, including complex highly emotive situations and those with significantly impaired communication capacities.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology. Member of the Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists.
  • Clinical supervision training for Doctoral trainees.
  • Postgraduate training in psychological therapy models.
  • Ability to plan and organise over the long term, the delivery of a large specialist service in the light of a thorough understanding of national policy and an expert interpretation of current professional best practice.
  • Sound skills in the management of specialist professional staff, of the day-to-day management of clinical services and of financial resources.
