Role Overview

1st Staff Limited is a leading alternative provider working nationwide with specialist staff, supporting students aged 4-25 years old with both educational and therapeutic needs. As a Personalised Education Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering tailored sessions on a one-to-one basis to young people who cannot attend mainstream education due to SEN.

About the Role

We are seeking a caring and friendly individual to join our team in the Havering area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN and possess excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with our students. Previous roles as a Teacher, Teaching Assistant, or Mentor would be highly beneficial.

As a key member of our team, your duties will include planning and delivering engaging lessons in English and Maths to meet the unique needs of each student. You will also be required to work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure seamless support for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver one-to-one sessions to students with SEN.
  • Plan and execute fun and interesting lessons in English and Maths.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive support for students.

  • A competitive daily rate based on your experience (£18-£22 per hour).
  • The opportunity to work full-time or part-time, with most referrals ranging from 10-15 hours per week.
  • Long-term contracts available.
  • Travel is not necessary but having your own transport or ability to travel would be beneficial.
