About Our Team

We are seeking a talented SEN Support Specialist to join our team at a leading SEN school in East Sussex.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support students with complex needs, including those with challenging behaviour.
  2. Create stimulating learning experiences, prioritising student safety and well-being.
  3. Provide practical care and support, promoting independence and dignity.
  4. Work collaboratively with teachers to develop individualised education plans (IEPs).
  5. Maintain a positive, supportive atmosphere, encouraging student engagement.
  6. Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care and education.

Requirements:

  1. Experience of working with children with special educational needs, though not essential.
  2. Effective management of challenging behaviour.
  3. Ability to provide personal care as required.
  4. A full driving licence and reliable transport, essential due to our rural location.
  5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  6. A compassionate, patient approach to supporting students with SEN.

Salary and Benefits:

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
