Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Support Specialist to join our team as an Apprenticeship End-Point Assessor. This role requires a strong understanding of the Diagnostic Imaging Support L3 occupational standard and the ability to assess candidate performance against published assessment and grading criteria.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Healthcare Support Worker with a background in Digital Imaging within the NHS environment to develop their skills as an independent end-point assessor and contribute to the external quality assurance activities undertaken by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Take part in regular training and standardisation activities associated with the role of independent end-point assessor for this EPA.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies, ensuring overall standards are maintained and adhering to Pearson's specifications, assessment materials, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Collaborate with other assessors and stakeholders to ensure consistency and quality in assessment outcomes.
  • Support Pearson with any appeals from apprentices regarding assessment decisions and raise any conflicts of interest, including in relation to the independence of assessment.

Requirements:

  • Recent relevant experience of the occupation area or sector to at least occupational level 3 gained in the last 5 years or significant experience of the occupation or sector.
  • Experience of Marking or grading Judgements, leading meetings/structured interviews/discussions, and complying with quality assurance/regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively respond to conflicts and assess/report risks.
  • Able to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to data protection guidelines.
