Job Title: Tax Accountant - Part-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for handling VAT and corporation tax matters, supporting major projects and contracts, and providing complex tax advice.

Key Responsibilities:

* Handle VAT and corporation tax matters, including statutory returns and partial exemption calculations
* Provide tax advice to support financial business modeling and decision-making
* Maintain the VAT matrix within accounting systems and ensure compliance with tax affairs
* Lead in interpreting and applying tax legislation to optimize the tax position of the organization
* Produce and manage tax guidance to educate other departments and provide a self-help service for VAT queries
* Assist with the annual review and reporting of the organization's tax position and identify relevant systems

Requirements:

* Qualified ACA, ACCA, CTA, ATT or qualified by experience
* Up-to-date knowledge of FRS102 and recent experience of dealing with VAT and corporation tax matters
* Ability to interpret and explain tax legislation to non-finance team members
* Experience of liaising with HMRC and training in finance/tax systems
* Key MS Excel skills and willingness to learn

What We Offer:

* Salary between £45,000 - £54,000 per annum, pro rata over 18
* Remote/office hybrid working offered, flexible working hours
