Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualised and small group support to students with a range of SEN, including but not limited to autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised support strategies designed to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and other professionals to cultivate an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, fostering their emotional well-being and nurturing their confidence and self-esteem.
- Support students during lessons, facilitating their engagement with the curriculum and addressing any obstacles to learning.
- Provide assistance with students' personal care and mobility requirements, as necessary.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.
- Possession of relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent, would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
- Patient and empathetic demeanour, coupled with a genuine dedication to supporting the learning and growth of students with SEN.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the capacity to effectively respond to the diverse needs of students within a dynamic educational setting.
