Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Derbyshire. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing the cost and quality of construction projects.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying and extensive experience in commercial support for project managers, site meetings, variations to design, spec, and programming of commercial works, negotiation of final accounts, and sourcing construction materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the cost and quality of construction projects.
  • Provide commercial support to project managers.
  • Attend site meetings as required.
  • Identify variations to the design, specification, and programming of commercial works.
  • Negotiate final accounts and resolve disputes between clients and sub-contractors.
  • Sourcing construction materials.
  • Conduct project appraisals and identify overspends.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Excellent management and computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Negotation skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is estimated at £52,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the location. Additionally, the company offers a company vehicle or vehicle allowance, 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, life assurance x4, and progression and development opportunities.

Location:

This role is based in Derbyshire, with regular travel to client sites required.
