Warehouse Operative

As a Warehouse Operative at Blue Arrow, you will be responsible for packing items into sets with great care, ensuring fragile products are handled with precision. This role involves working on your feet for 9.5 hours a day, with a 4-day on, 4-day off shift pattern that includes weekends. You will be required to work efficiently, meeting targets and deadlines while maintaining a clean and tidy workstation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Picking and packing goods quickly and efficiently
• Moving pallets using manual pump trucks
• Building boxes and preparing items for delivery
• Labelling products
• Quality checking of products
• Using hand-held scanners and paper to pick items
• Working towards targets and deadlines individually and within a team
• Reporting any issues to the relevant person
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles carefully
• Wrapping pallets of products and unwrapping
• Carrying out stock checks using electronic handheld scanners
• General warehousing duties

Requirements:

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High levels of numeracy and literacy
• Eye for detail with accuracy
• Great time-keeping skills

Pay Rates:

Your first 4 shifts will be training shifts, working 4 days straight, with a pay rate of £12.02 per hour. Once trained, you will receive a pay rise to £13.50 per hour, with opportunities for overtime at £17.55 per hour during peak times.
