Job Title: Special Education Teacher Position

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at the Education Authority. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed individual to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  2. Assess and record student progress, providing regular feedback and guidance to support their learning journey.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive school environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth.
Requirements:
  • Holding a teaching qualification that meets the requirements for recognition to teach in grant-aided schools in Northern Ireland.
  • A minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in a Primary department of a Special School or Special Unit, including those with Special Educational Needs.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection policy/practice.
  • Experience of using language programmes to communicate with pupils.
Salary and Benefits:
