Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic teacher to join our team as a supply teacher. As a supply teacher, you will be working on a part-time basis, covering various year groups and schools in the Hillingdon Borough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Covering sickness and absences in schools
  • Teaching all pupils in your class according to the National curriculum
  • Targeting and adapting lessons to meet the specific needs of each child
  • Completing records and assessments as required by the school's policy
  • Using ICT to enhance understanding of tasks and lessons
  • Organising resources for the subject/area
  • Involve pupils in self and peer assessment
  • Using a variety of teaching and learning styles to maintain high standards of learning, behaviour and progress
  • Creating and building relationships with pupils, parents and other teachers
  • Preparing pupils for the next academic year
  • Liaising with other teachers regarding pupil information and needs

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience in a variety of age groups
  • A good understanding of the curriculum and behavioural management techniques
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Compassionate and IT competent
  • Presentable and professional
