Job Overview

CERAP UK is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer Apprentice to join our site design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working on complex RC structure projects, collaborating with senior engineers and drafting teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of design packages.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain 3D BIM rebar models using TEKLA, working closely with the BIM coordinator or leading the RC 3D works or 2D drawings done by the drafting team.
  2. Respond to Field Information requests and changes, ensuring timely and accurate communication with the construction team.
  3. Close out design issues and conduct design surveillance during construction, ensuring compliance with Eurocodes and company standards.
  4. Review and accept contractor deliverables, providing technical feedback and guidance as needed.
  5. Participate in site walkdowns and inspections, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of best practices.

Requirements
  1. Civil Engineer/Structure Degree from a recognized institution.
  2. Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, particularly in relation to civil engineering and fastenings in concrete.
  3. Proficiency in civil engineering software, including TEKLA, PDMS, and 3D AutoCAD.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  5. Results-focused with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
