Clinical Intervention Specialist, Western Nova Scotia

About the Job:
This permanent part-time (20% FTE) position is located in Kentville and Middleton. The job entails working with families of preschool-age children (ages 0-6) with autism, providing goal setting processes, assessments, and intervention programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct goal setting processes with families to identify needs for their child.
- Provide comprehensive assessments related to goals.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate intervention programs for children with autism.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Board-certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Registration or eligibility with the relevant professional body in Nova Scotia.
- A valid Class 5 Nova Scotia driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- CPR certification within the last 12 months and First Aid certification.
- Two years of recent experience working with children with autism and their families.
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in autism intervention.
- Excellent clinical care skills, including assessment development, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of intervention plans.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interprofessional team.
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
Salary and Benefits:$37.3118-$49.0499/hour. This is a permanent part-time (20% FTE) position, Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/week. Flexibility in hours is required.
