Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to join our Clothing & Home team. As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will play a key role in shaping the M&S Womenswear offer by working closely with the Merchandiser to agree strategies and targets for creating and achieving pre and in-season Range sales and stock forecasts by channel.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need strong Excel skills, a passion for product, and the ability to thrive under pressure. You will also have experience working in a fast-paced retail environment, with a proven track record of managing GSM, developing Department Plans, and maintaining communication links with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Merchandiser in agreeing the strategy and targets for creating and achieving pre and in-season Range sales and stock forecasts by channel.
  • Analyse sales data to identify winners and losers and take appropriate actions working in collaboration with stakeholders to react to trade and maximise sales opportunity for the Department.
  • Maintain communication links with retail, channels, allocation, suppliers, sourcing offices, and international teams.
