Paraplanning Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Paraplanning Specialist to join our team at a regional Chartered Financial Planning firm based in Harpenden. The ideal candidate will be a Level 4 qualified Paraplanner with a passion for delivering exceptional financial planning services.

The company looks after 150 Wealth Management Families and 50 financial planning and Investment strategy clients. They prioritize enabling their team to excel and will invest in training and development opportunities to support their growth.

The Role

The Paraplanning Specialist will support Financial Planners in informing and advising clients on financial strategies, plans, and products. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting Financial Planners in research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives
• Preparing client financial plans and suitability reports
• Attending client meetings to take minutes, explain technical details, complete forms, and follow up on action points
• Developing and maintaining internal relationships to facilitate business flow and meet targets
• Ensuring responsible and compliant business practices, adhering to legislative requirements
• Contributing to the smooth operation of the paraplanning administrative function
• Collaborating with the Compliance & Operations Manager and Client Services Manager to improve systems and processes

Key Responsibilities

The Paraplanning Specialist will be responsible for:

• Preparing financial analysis data and compiling reports
• Analyzing client data and preparing cash flow analyses
• Researching products to support recommendations
• Compiling financial planning recommendations and suitability reports
• Providing support for Financial Planners
• Ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are met
• Liaising with product providers and other relevant third parties
• Ensuring client requirements are met
• Assisting with client presentations and other activities as agreed
• Managing individual workflow and task delivery
