Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Education Support Specialist to join our team in a KS2 setting in Tower Hamlets. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children with behavioral needs and making a meaningful difference in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist support to students with behavioral difficulties, working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop strategies and interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all students.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, providing tailored support to students as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure they are informed about their child's progress and any additional support required.

Requirements:

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Have experience working with children with behavioral difficulties, with a strong understanding of strategies and approaches to support them.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the changing needs of the school.
  • Hold relevant qualifications and/or experience in a related field, such as special educational needs or youth work.
