Job Title: CAD Designer - Draughter

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer - Draughter to join our team at Gi Group Professionals. As a CAD Designer - Draughter, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and drawings using AutoCAD and other software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create 2D and 3D layouts, P & I Ds, foundation drawings, and conveying systems with limited guidance.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Plant software to create 3D models, including steelwork and equipment.
  • Understand the factors affecting Extractor and DTDC draughting, enabling significant changes to arrangement and detail drawings.
  • Use Plant P & I D software to create intelligent P & I Ds in conjunction with a Process Engineer and develop valve, instrument, and line data.
  • Engage in UK and overseas travel for site visits and collaboration as required.
  • Provide guidance for Level I Designers and check their work if requested.
Requirements:
  • Educated to minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering (design bias).
  • Demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
  • Sound understanding of engineering practice and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of piping systems, materials, and routing principles.
