About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Gap Personnel. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining mechanical systems, including fluid pumps, diesel engines, air pressure, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and align new equipment and parts according to engineering and technical drawings
  • Use workshop machinery to complete specific mechanical fittings
  • Work on a wide variety of mechanical systems, including fluid pumps, diesel engines, air pressure, and hydraulic systems
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled tradespeople to achieve project goals

Requirements:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Mechanical Engineering Level 3 Qualification
  • MOT, vehicle building, and mechanics experience (desirable)
  • Understanding of technical/engineering drawings
  • Marine industry knowledge (desirable)

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £18.73
  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (0730am – 1530pm) and Friday (0730am – 1230pm)
