Job Description

Prospero Teaching is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator to join their team. This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week, where the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day SEND provision at one of our client schools.

The ideal candidate will be a trained SENDCo who holds Qualified Teacher Status. They will have a proven track record of positively impacting the educational experience of students with special educational needs.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that students receive the best possible education. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve student outcomes and promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect within the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to identify and address areas of need.
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on SEND-related issues.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g., special education, psychology, education).
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits

We are offering a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including comprehensive training and development opportunities, and a supportive team environment.
