Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Sutton Coldfield. As a member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting SEN students in Key Stage 1, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement effective lesson plans.
  • Providing additional support to students as needed, both in and out of the classroom.
Requirements
  • Prior experience working with SEN students is desirable.
  • A background in education is essential.
  • A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom is required.
  • Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding guidelines is necessary.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education is required.
