About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate teaching assistant to join our team at a special educational needs school in Tunbridge Wells. As a specialist teaching assistant, you will be responsible for supporting students with autism, helping them to engage with their learning and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with autism in a classroom setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop resources and adapt lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Use evidence-based strategies to address behavioral and emotional challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes the well-being of all students.
Requirements
  • Current DBS clearance or eligibility to apply.
  • Relevant experience working with students with autism (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to provide two professional references within the past two years.
