  • Salary: £18,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience)

This role involves working on customer premises and at Briggs Equipment Group workshop locations within your specified region.

As an Apprentice Engineer, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and complete a nationally recognized apprenticeship qualification. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be considered for a permanent contract as a fully qualified Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Completing the 3-year apprenticeship qualification: Level 3 Lift Truck and Powered Access Engineering Technician Apprenticeship standard.
  2. Gaining on-the-job experience, starting with shadowing your mentor and other Engineers, progressing to performing tasks under supervision, then alongside qualified Engineers where your work will be checked and signed off.
  3. Working on customer premises and at Briggs Equipment Group workshop locations within your specified region.
Requirements
  • GCSEs in English, Science, and Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • Enthusiasm for all aspects of engineering, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic.
  • Able to complete apprenticeship qualification tasks independently, managing and prioritizing own workload, working to deadlines under pressure.
  • Understanding of the principles of good customer service.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in inclement weather conditions.
  • Comfortable completing both manual labor and administrative tasks.
