About the Role

The IT Cloud Infrastructure Delivery Director will oversee the successful delivery of a highly complex, large-scale IT infrastructure management program. This strategic leader will excel in driving operational excellence, managing large teams, overseeing complex transitions, and managing both customer and financial outcomes.

This role requires extensive experience in delivering IT infrastructure services, with a deep understanding of cloud technologies (primarily Azure), datacentres, networks, end-user computing, IT Service Management (ITSM), and service desks.

The ideal candidate will have twenty years of experience in IT infrastructure delivery, managing large, complex IT services engagements. They will also have significant experience leading geographically dispersed teams and managing multi-functional resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery Management: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of the IT infrastructure services program, ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing operation of services across datacentres, cloud (primarily Azure), networks, end-user computing, service desks, and ITSM.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a diverse, global team of 100+ resources across various functional areas (cloud, datacentre, network, service desk, etc.), ensuring team alignment and effective execution of service delivery.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client's senior leadership, ensuring that the client's strategic objectives are met and that services are delivered in accordance with expectations.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify and manage delivery risks and issues, ensuring that they are mitigated or escalated as necessary.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the financial health of the program, including P&L, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure that the program adheres to best practices in IT infrastructure management, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, scalability, and quality.

Requirements

  • Twenty years of experience in IT infrastructure delivery, managing large, complex IT services engagements.
  • Extensive experience delivering IT infrastructure services, including datacentre operations, cloud (primarily Azure), network services, end-user computing, and IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Significant experience leading geographically dispersed teams and managing multi-functional resources.
  • Relevant certifications in IT infrastructure, project management, and cloud technologies (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Microsoft Certified).

Salary:$250,000 - $350,000 per annum.
